In case you didn’t know I am obsessed with eyebrows. I am constantly looking at other peoples perfectly tweezed brows and crying over my own. I am still growing them out after years of over-plucking, so I am always on the hunt for an eyebrow product that makes them look somewhat presentable while they go through their teenage rebellious phase.
I usually use a combination of pencils and gels but for the last couple of months I have been desperate to try an eyebrow pomade. A tinted wax product that claims to control and shape even the most unruly brows. Now, I have had my eye on the beauty hit Dipbrow pomade by Anastasia Beverly Hills, but at £15 I have been reluctant to try it, especially since in the UK you can only buy it online, and it is therefore difficult to get a proper colour match. That’s not to say I wouldn’t like it, it doesn’t have a serious beauty cult following for nothing!
After much deliberation, and research, it wasn’t until a big thumbs up from one of my favourite beauty instabloggers @beautywithwispa, that I hurriedly went out to purchase NYX Tame and Frame. A tinted, smudge-proof pomade that comes in 5 different shades. Mine is in espresso and at £5.50 this was the perfect first step into the world of brow pomades.
Using a simple angle makeup brush I applied the pomade in long strokes to outline my brow then small strokes to fill in the rest.
So here they are the before and after shots:
No foundation, no concealer, no eye makeup to distract, just the NYX Tame & Frame tinted brow pomade.
I am thoroughly impressed by this product. It really smooths out any naughty hairs and fills in all the sparse areas. It glides on so easily and even makes my bare eye look polished and put together. It also stays on all day, but is easy to take off with a good eye makeup remover before bedtime.
I can’t believe I didn’t buy this product sooner, but now that I have I can’t imagine using anything else. It would be nice if it came with a little application brush in case you don’t own one, however at £5.50 I really can’t complain!
