8am: breakfast of poached egg with avocado on toast and kale smoothie.
9am: put on latest must-have dress from Dolce and Gabbana’s Spring/Summer collection
11am: mani and pedi followed by brunch (more avocado).
1pm: peruse the latest resort wear before settling on a couple of darling Mara Hoffman swimsuits for my trip to Raja Ampat (Bali is so last year don’t you know).
6pm: dinner at Ormer Mayfair, their taster menu is exquisite.
11pm: bedtime in my new Egyptian cotton bedding.
Sweet Dreams.
This is a typical day for me, a day dream that is! However, as lovely as it sounds, especially that poached egg, sometimes the best way to spend your time is with great friends, at fab places right on your doorstep.
This is exactly what I did last weekend. It had been gloriously sunny all week until Saturday, the day I’d planned a trip to Liverpool city centre to redeem my Beauty Bazaar reward, when it clouded over like only our good ol’ British weather can, not that this could stop me! As the saying goes when life gives you lemons, make lemonade, or in this case when Harvey Nichols gives you a reward, enjoy champagne!
I love the atmosphere in the centre of Liverpool, lots of people and different sights and sounds without that overwhelming feeling you can sometimes get in large cities. As for the weather, the Spring breeze and cloudy sky was a great chance to incorporate brighter colours with different fabrics to create a cosy layered look that was still light enough for this season.
After a quick little shopping trip, in which I picked up some fab goodies from TK Maxx, including the Too Faced Cat Eyes eyeshadow palette, and my gorgeous Love Affair with Beauty Babe snapped up a £2 black bikini top from Primark to embellish with feathers at home (clever right!?), we power walked our way to the one and only Beauty Bazaar.
Harvey Nichols reward system, really is the bees knees. Every time you shop, you receive points which get turned into rewards at the end of every season. You pick your favourite, and redeem it when you want. Simple! Previously, I have had manicures at Nails Inc, and vouchers to spend on anything throughout Harvey Nichols. This time I chose champagne for two which was great, as it was a lovely chance to share the rewards of my spending addiction with a friend!
After the lovely glass of bubbly, and a final top up with Jouer Long-Wear Lip Crème Liquid Lipstick in Praline we were good to continue our fun day out!
Disguise of the day (DOTD):

What are the fun things you like to do where you live?

I love the way this post is laid out, I loved the beginning sounds like a perfect day but sometimes spending some time with friends is all you need. I also am in love with that skirt, it’s gorgeous x
Thank you! Obviously it would be great to spend a day like my day dream, but actually it was so much fun having that glass of champagne with one of my best friends, and would pick that first, any day! xx
I love the structure of this post! x

I love your style, your outfit looks so well put together and eyecatching but also really comfy and perfect for a day roaming around in the city at the same time! I really like the skirt especially, I need to hit up Topshop ASAP! Fab post!

Thank you! It really was a great outfit for the weather that day, casual but with a splash of something interesting with the skirt, and those shoes are soooo comfortable! xx
Sounds like a really good day (both the daydream and the real one!) I didn’t know Harvey Nichols had such a good rewards programme either? Sounds great! Also love your pink skirt.

I love the Harvey Nichols rewards programme. If I ever buy high-end beauty products I always try and get them in Harvey Nichols, as the point system is really generous and the rewards can be really good. xx
Such a well written post! I’m totally with you with the dream day – sounds so ideal!
Ah yes wouldn’t it be great to have more time to go shopping and live a life of luxury. Although in a way having a cheeky glass of champagne in a fancy place like Harvey Nics is just that! xx
The model is cute 😉
Definitely! Harvey Nichols is my go to for high-end makeup and it’s even better that you can get rewards each season. x
Thank you! really glad you liked the outfit. It’s great when you can find really nice and interesting clothes without spending a fortune. xx
Wow, I’d love to visit Miami Beach and definitely go makeup shopping in Colorado! America has a lot of amazing brands you can’t get here in the UK. I think the things you do in your free time sound perfect. It’s exactly as I said, having a fun time at places near by with people you love. xx
Exactly! It’s those little things like spending time with friends and doing things you don’t usually get to do that make things so much more fun. xx
