Instagram post 2191330333998626248_3273331858 Gifted| Do you have a morning ritual?
When it comes to getting out of bed and helping me look like I’m one of the living, there are certain things I always rely on.
First is my @lumie.lights alarm clock. They’re not cheap but this has been a life saver for me. Granted, I’m not jumping out of bed, so excites to get to work but the gradual build in gentle light helps my body feel less attacked by that awful iPhone alarm and I’m often awake before it reaches full intensity!
The second is a cup of tea. I very rarely skip my morning cuppa. I wake up, make it and pop back into bed for 20 minutes just adjusted and preparing myself mentally for the day ahead. Plus look at memes of course.
The last thing is a good under eye brightener. I’ve been really loving the Flawless Eye Retouch from @transformulas to help me look fresh in the morning. Not too thick or matte, simply paint under the eye and blend. The light reflective particles instantly smooth and conceal to make my eyes look brighter but in a really natural way. I’m not about that heavy cakey makeup look and this is just amazing.
What’s your morning routine?
Instagram post 2189180982895414005_3273331858 Hello 1st of December, I’m ready for you!
Today is tree day. We’re having a big cooked breakfast, opening our advent calendars and decorating our new house for our first Christmas which I’m very excited about. Then to finish, a big roast dinner. The perfect Sunday!!
Also big big shout out to @lifeofpingkan and @hyphyhip. I just love doing photoshoots with these two. I only have to mention an idea I have and they help me execute it and photograph it better than I even imagined it! 💋
Instagram post 2187707010173471285_3273331858 TGIF! So excited for this weekend because it’s the 1st of December and you know what that means?!? Christmas Tree!!!! Have you put yours up yet or are you go for this Sunday too?
Tonight I’m having a chilled one. Anyone else wake up and already look forward to getting home and doing nothing? It’s my absolute fave. Top choices are reading a book or I’m already on the fifth season of Bones and loving it!
Instagram post 2185528045044400754_3273331858 Bold Lips! 💋
I am a peachy nude girl through and through but there’s something about this @fentybeauty lipstick in Clapback that makes me feel kickass! It’s a rich navy blue and it’s the only non-conventional lip colour I’ve ever bought. Something about the shade and finish called to me the second I saw it! Never mind the Fenty Mattemoiselle lipsticks feel great on. Not a touch of dryness and the colour is beyond pigmented.
Haven’t quite been daring enough to wear it outside yet though even though I’ve had it for a year though... whoops.
What’s the boldest lip colour you’ll wear?!
Instagram post 2167408175811453203_3273331858 Gifted| It’s the 1st of November and to me that means it’s the start of the festive season. Ok I’m not talking get the tree up and lights everywhere but little bits of fun and magic every day are a must for me this month. I’m talking mince pies, lots of chocolate, Greggs festive bakes 😋 and @pret Christmas sandwiches (I’m sooooo ready). Plus it’s time to get out the winter cosy pyjamas and relax in festive bubble baths. Which brings me on to one of my favourite bath products, the @lush Snow Fairy Bubble Wand! For starters it’s pink so it’s a win and I love how easy it is to swish round in the water creating swirls of sparkly pink bubbles, all with that classic Snow Fairy scent.
Instagram post 2166668354130372191_3273331858 Happy Halloween!!! 🎃🕸🍬👻🤡
What are your plans for this evening? Party? Trick or Treating? Or hiding away?! I’ve got my pumpkin carved (on the instastory) and my buckets of sweets ready! This year I’ve got skittles and of course the classic haribo packs. I wanted mini smarties but couldn’t find them anywhere! I’m not a big fan of sugary sweets like Swizzels so always get something I would actually eat. After all, a fair few packets will need to be tested by me for research purposes!
What’s your favourite Halloween sweet treat? Any you really hate? Parma Violets = blerghhhh 🎃🕸🍬👻🤡

How to Pack for a Beach Holiday

I decided this post was necessary after I spent hours trying to cram more clothes than was needed for a four day holiday to Cala Ratjada, Majorca. You know how it is, going on holiday suddenly means you need a choice of three outfits a day and at least ten pairs of extra socks “just in case”. It wasn’t until I was trying to squeeze my inflatable unicorn into a hand luggage sized suitcase and caught my red face in the mirror that I knew I was fighting a losing battle.

You may wonder why I didn’t just pack a larger bag and check it into hold luggage but my overly worried self always has visions of my clothes ending up in Bora Bora while I’m having to wear my worn leggings with holes in the crotch for the rest of my vacation.

So it was time to be the most organised I’ve ever been in my life and create the perfect capsule wardrobe and although I couldn’t fit in my unicorn, I had everything I needed for every holiday scenario.

Can you even believe this scarf is from Tesco F&F!?! I’m in love with it and paired with a light t-shirt and leggings I could handle anything the Majorca weather tried to throw at me. Oh and believe me it tried. In just one day, it showered and blasted down some serious heat all while I trekked up hills, hills and more hills to check out the ruins of an old lighthouse, gorgeous green forests and the most amazing view ever!

A quick change into another gap t-shirt (I love them so much), this gorgeous sand coloured Sahara ruched skirt from Kettlewell and my beaded Toast necklace and I was ready to do what I do best. Shopping!

There are some amazing shops in Cala Ratjada. On the way to the harbour and sea front, I came across this lovely beauty store that sells natural cosmetics and skincare. I spent ages choosing between the different soaps on offer (mojito and pina colada anyone?!) before deciding I needed at least five. Then there are the many clothing boutiques that also caught my eye. Yes I know I’ve been praising the benefits of a capsule wardrobe but a new dress did make its way into my suitcase but that’s the benefit of less clothes to begin with as there is now room for more stuff!!

Kaftans are the ultimate piece for a capsule wardrobe. This first one is by the designer Ada Gatti which I found at TK Maxx and I am just in love the rainbow colours and circle design. Yes, kaftans are the way forward. To me they are the holiday version of the “I can’t be bothered putting on two items of clothing” and with the stunning beach of Cala Agulla just a short walk away from Cala Ratjada it was the perfect opportunity for me to wear one. Wear over a bikini to stop your skin from getting burnt in the sun during the day then throw on some bracelets and you have transformed it into an outfit for the evening. The best 2 for 1 deal ever.

Jewellery is definitely the best way to change up an outfit. It takes up far less room in your suitcase and elevates your look to the next level.

Oh and if you don’t have any appropriate bracelets or a cute necklace, check out Only Sugar on Carrer d’Elionor Servera where you can design your own jewellery! This shop was another great find. Filled with beads and buttons along every surface of the store, I was in jewellery heaven.

Here I go again with kaftan love!

This one is from Boden Clothing which I matched with my custom Only Sugar bracelet.

Regarding footwear it’s time for a shoutout to the silver Daisy pumps from Hotter UK. These metallic beauties are so comfortable and supported me through hiking, shopping and posing throughout the whole duration of my vacation. Plus sticking to the rule of one pair of shoes fits all outfits allows you to pack more important things like bikinis and makeup.

So there we have it. Add a pair of sunglasses and a denim jacket in case it gets a bit chilly and you have my capsule wardrobe for stress free dressing on holiday.

Sangria and Allioli and Cafe Son Moll

Lastly, even though this isn’t a food blog I have to just mention the garlicky deliciousness that is this allioli with bread from Cafe Son Moll situated right on the sea front. It was incredible!!

What could be better than a jug of sangria and food with a view?

Oh I know, a dog on a skateboard.

I couldn’t believe it when I saw her. She just gets on and barks until someone pushes her then rolls along with her tongue out haha. They are so comfortable aren’t they?! I wear them everywhere.

Thanks! I do know what you mean about kaftans, they have to be just right for me to love them and sometimes I like to add a belt so they give me a bit more shape. xx

The holiday just flew by as they do! Time to save up for the next one I think but I know I’ll definitely be making how I did this time. It was much less stressful not having to worry what to take and wear each day. xx

Kaftans are great aren’t they! I love you can still be wearing a bikini underneath and go out for dinner or drinks and it doesn’t even matter. Plus they are so much more comfortable than a tight dress. xx
