Accessorising is hard work. So many colours, styles and shapes, it’s difficult to know where to start. Personally, I get anxiety just thinking about my accessory drawer. A tangled mess of necklaces and unpaired earrings, it’s more of an Aladdin’s hell than cave of jewels. Add to that the fast-paced world of fashion announcing those cute tassel earrings you’ve finally bought are now sooooo last season, you practically need a degree in accessories to put an outfit together.
However, the one item that is always on trend is a watch. It’s the perfect accessory with the added bonus of making sure I’m not late. Yes, I could just check my phone to find out the time but I’m way too lazy to get it out my handbag. Plus no matter how much we complain about the lack of pockets on women’s clothing, there’s nowhere suitable to keep a mobile. Shoving it in my bra strap is not an acceptable location!
A watch is so much more than a simple time piece. It’s a classic accessory, with a magic that compliments and elevates any outfit. I like to think my clothing reflects my mood and the accessories I wear are a big part in creating that character. Whether it’s providing an air of professionalism and girl-boss attitude to my mustard satin trousers and velvet jacket, or a more relaxed vibe of “mom” jeans and a comfy t-shirt, a watch can do it all.
My watch of choice at the moment has to be from Adexe. An independent company based in London, they are one of very few brands to utilise professional watchmakers. The quality and craftsmanship that has gone into each watch is clear from the moment you open the packaging. I chose the Freerunner Grande, a beautiful watch with rose gold casing and a black leather strap. A movement that was made in Japan, genuine leather from Florence and in-house crystal glass, make this watch the epitome of luxury. Did I mention it was also featured in Vogue!
There’s no need to stress with finding the perfect fit with Adexe. I still have a couple of notches left on the seriously comfortable leather strap, even with quite small wrists. Plus considering it’s a Grande, the watch face sits well upon my forearm allowing me to flaunt it to my hearts content. Who said woman can’t wear big watches!?
The Perfect Gift
An Adexe watch also makes a fabulous gift for even the most difficult to buy for person. Can’t get away with buying Dad another pair of socks? Up your present game with an Adexe watch. Maybe you have a Mum like mine who tells you what she wants so you’re never able to get her a surprise. Adexe watch have such a gorgeous collection that you’d never need to worry about her fake smiling and then returning it at a later date! Plus let’s not forget the one person who always deserves a treat… yourself!
No matter the style, my Adexe Freerunner Grande allows me to make a statement whilst still staying true to my personality (it is rose gold after all). The mixture of contemporary aesthetics with traditional quality means an Adexe watch will never go out of fashion.
