When it comes to technology I am a self-confessed novice. Even though I’ve had pretty much every device you can own, I don’t know how to use them to their full potential. Work documents fill up my over-priced notebook of a mac laptop. My iPad was the solution for finding answers to my never ending questions (good ol’ google). At most, I can flick through tv channels and open the guide but activate subtitles, it’s a no from me. It even took me ten minutes plus the instruction manual to change the time on my microwave! The fact is, I just don’t know how to use the more intricate functions and programmes of today’s technology.
My mobile phone definitely falls under my technological ineptitude. Considering how much phones have changed since my beloved 5110, you’d think I’d been a phone genius. Alas, the reality is very different. I phone my mum, scroll through the same two apps and look at photos of dogs every single day. I’m sure it has many swanky features proudly sitting on the home screen waiting to be opened but it’s never going to happen.
However, if there’s one thing I do know, it’s what I want said technology to look like. In my opinion, laptops and phones are just like any other accessory. Your laptop is constantly on display in your home or on your commute to work and if you’re like me, your mobile is permanently attached to your hand. If you go to all the trouble to pick the perfect outfit, it’s only right you have the perfect accessories. I want complimentary colours, or a style that matches the occasion. Whether I’m after a fun unique vibe or a more professional look, I want my technology to match.
This is where Swedish company CaseApp provide you with the ideal solution to turn your technology into the perfect accessory. CaseApp are like the holy grail of laptop and mobile cases. Whether you already have a look in mind or require some inspiration, there’s something for everyone.
Their website is incredibly user-friendly even for someone like me. Simply choose your phone make and scroll through the hundreds of pre-made designs they have on offer. Once you have selected a design, you even have the option to add logos or text for a more personal touch. I loved scrolling through the designs, picking which ones I liked, adding and changing bits, knowing that I can save them for a later date if I’m still undecided. That’s the great thing about CaseApp, it’s completely up to you.
Obviously pink being my favourite colour and having a penchant for marble, I had to choose the Pink & Gold pre-made case. I chose the glossy finish (it is marble after all) but you can also select matte if it fits better with your style. My second option was this lively Banana Leaf print. I wanted this case to give off a completely different vibe to the pink one. It’s a fun design, yet still chic and cool. Even though it’s a bold green, it’s the perfect shade to go with anything and adds the perfect pop of colour to a monochrome outfit.
I had no trouble clicking each case on to my phone. Once on, they feel sturdy and durable whilst giving obvious protection to my mobile. I had a little trouble getting the case off first time I tried but after that, it was simple. Click off, switch, click on with no worries I might break the case or my phone. Since both are quite busy patterns, I decided to keep them free of any extras but it’s worth noting the extra design features don’t add any additional costs to the original case price.
If you’re after something truly unique, you can even upload a photo or image that they can create for you. This makes CaseApp the perfect gift for someone else or even a little treat for yourself. I can’t think of anything better than creating something that commemorates a special occasion or date. You can even buy a gift card, so the recipient can personally design every single element themselves. Plus with nine years of experience in printing the quality is excellent, so there’s no need to worry your design will come out pixelated and grainy. Unless that’s what you were after!
I think CaseApp are a wonderful way to express your personality and style through technology. Whether it’s for personal use or even business purposes you can design a case or skin to suit your needs.
