Being the final 6 months of my PhD, I will have to start writing my thesis now instead of later but to break that time up with more fun things (not that science isn’t fun 🙄). I’m thinking baking, play the piano and experimenting with makeup! It doesn’t matter that no one is going to see my makeup or hear me play, I’m doing it for me but at the same time I’m not going to force myself to do to anything I don’t feel like or feel pressured to learn something new or start something big just because we have this time.
I think it’s important to take a break and reset without anything or anyone sucking your energy. Only do things that you really want to and help you feel better now and for the future when this is over.
What are your plans for lockdown?

Jabbing them through the piercing that has been empty for months is no fun and games 😂 and 2. They just elevate your look to the next level!! Gifted| Back to work and I’m really not here for Gifted| Back to work and I’m really not here for it! What I am here for is these natural Wispies eyelashes from @ardellbeauty. I do love false lashes but because I don’t have a lot of lid space, I find they always look heavy and unnatural on me so I give up and they get shoved in a drawer. That’s why I was dubious at first with these but the second I put them on, I fell in love. The natural style adds volume to my lashes without looking heavy and really do pass as being my own, even in person!! They’re easy to put on as the band is nice and flexible and stay put throughout the day. These are my lashes for sure! Have you tried Ardell lashes before?

The Body Shop Banana Range
July 25, 2018 Skin Care•Skin Deep

Going Bananas for The Body Shop’s Banana Range

Finding it difficult to get your five a day? Yeah me too. Do you think it would be cheating if I got my fruit in the form of skincare? I feel like that would be acceptable, especially if it smells as delectable as the banana range from The Body Shop.

The banana range has been a firm staple on the shelves of each store and one I always find myself perusing every time I visit. The vibrant yellow is incredibly inviting and once you get a whiff of that tropical scent you’ll be transported to a dreamy beach far far away.

Whispers of a banana revamp reached my ears as well as the addition of a new product to this much loved collection. My curiosity finally got the better of me after I finished my Vanilla Pumpkin Body Butter (yes I know we’re now summer, whoops) and I desired something more seasonal.

After receiving an invite to a blogger event held in Liverpool One, I decided to make it my mission to go fully bananas with bananas.

This haircare duo is a godsend for my unruly mane. The shampoo gently cleanses your hair whilst really nourishing each strand. I find it lathers up well so your scalp feels fresh and clean but doesn’t strip your hair making it feel dry. The conditioner is also aimed at people with normal to dry hair and is as equally dreamy to use. Not too thick, it detangles my curls with ease and feels really hydrating. It washes out well leaving no greasy residue just softer smoother hair.

Both products are free from silicones to avoid product buildup and are 100% vegetarian. Of course I couldn’t talk about these two items without mentioning the fragrance. Made with Community Trade organic banana puree, the scent is utterly divine. Those of you who aren’t fond of strong scents may find it overwhelming but I personally can’t get enough. It’s such a vibrant fragrance that is in no way fake and reflects the scent of real fresh fruit.

When it comes to moisturising my very dry skin, TBS body butters are always my go to product. They’re luxurious and creamy and always leave my legs feeling softer and protected. The 100% vegan banana body butter is no different and works its magic throughout the day. Since the body butters have a thicker consistency, they do take a while to sink in and for this reason they are not ideal if you’re in a hurry. This is where the new 100% vegan body yogurt comes into play.

TBS body yogurts are the quick and easy way to moisturise. Made with a new lightweight gel formula, these moisturisers literally glide across the skin. I find only the smallest amount is needed to cover each limb and it absorbs instantly. It’s not as creamy as the body butters but with this current hot weather, the cooling refreshing finish is very welcome. I only need to wait a minute or two before I can get dressed. Plus I can now leave my house in my usual messy state but know at the very least my skin is being looked after! The body yogurts are so time-conscious friendly you can even apply them onto damp skin straight out of the shower.

As with the rest of this range, it’s made with organic puree from bananas of all shapes and sizes that won’t sell in the food industry. Now that’s what I like to hear! I love it when brands don’t let anything go to waste.

The Body Shop Banana Range

In addition to these products, the banana range also includes a shower cream. All the goodness we’ve come to love from the banana classics perfected for the shower. It’s top of my to-buy list and I can’t wait to go into full banana mode!

Go bananas, although you better be quick as they’re only available for the summer!

The Body Yoghurts are amazing. I usually get bored of body moisturisers and never finish them but I’ve got maybe two applications left in the tup I love it that much. I’m definitely getting more! x

It’s incredible isn’t it. I’ve nearly finished the body yoghurt and that’s the first time I’ve actually finished a proper body moisturiser! I just love it. x

I’m not sure how I feel about this range, since I’m not a fan of the smell of synthetic banana but I suppose I should pop in and give it a sniff before making my final decision.
