Well here we are LOCKDOWN! I hope you’re all doi Well here we are LOCKDOWN! I hope you’re all doing ok?
I’ve been thinking about what I’m going to do over this time period and how to get the most out of it.
Being the final 6 months of my PhD, I will have to start writing my thesis now instead of later but to break that time up with more fun things (not that science isn’t fun 🙄). I’m thinking baking, play the piano and experimenting with makeup! It doesn’t matter that no one is going to see my makeup or hear me play, I’m doing it for me but at the same time I’m not going to force myself to do to anything I don’t feel like or feel pressured to learn something new or start something big just because we have this time.
I think it’s important to take a break and reset without anything or anyone sucking your energy. Only do things that you really want to and help you feel better now and for the future when this is over.
What are your plans for lockdown?
For me makeup is art. Your face is the canvas and For me makeup is art. Your face is the canvas and the fact you can take any colour/finish/texture and create something that completely reflects your personality and mood is amazing and yes maybe it also fuels my need to have so many pretty palettes!! The @jackieaina @anastasiabeverlyhills eyeshadow palette is incredible! The colours are soooooo pigmented but still really wearable. It’s like a work of art itself.
What’s your favourite ABH palette?

Who else loves earrings?! I really need to wear th Who else loves earrings?! I really need to wear them more often because 1. Jabbing them through the piercing that has been empty for months is no fun and games 😂 and 2. They just elevate your look to the next level!! Seriously, whether they’re long, studs, gold, sparkly, colourful, patterned, they make me feel so put together. 2020 is my year for accessorising!
Gifted| Back to work and I’m really not here for Gifted| Back to work and I’m really not here for it! What I am here for is these natural Wispies eyelashes from @ardellbeauty. I do love false lashes but because I don’t have a lot of lid space, I find they always look heavy and unnatural on me so I give up and they get shoved in a drawer. That’s why I was dubious at first with these but the second I put them on, I fell in love. The natural style adds volume to my lashes without looking heavy and really do pass as being my own, even in person!! They’re easy to put on as the band is nice and flexible and stay put throughout the day. These are my lashes for sure! Have you tried Ardell lashes before?

Lush Christmas bath bombs at Lush Liverpool
October 20, 2019 A Special Something

Christmas at Lush

* I was kindly invited to visit the new Lush Floor. Michael and the rest of the Lush team at Liverpool are fantastic, so helpful and know everything you could ever need to know about Lush and the products.

I L-O-V-E Christmas, especially the build up to Christmas. Mulled wine, mince pies, cosy coats and whether we get a winter wonderland or more likely a drizzly dreamworld, there’s something magical about this festive period that always puts a smile on my face.

But wait gifts! If there’s one thing that makes that smile quickly turn upside down into a frown, it’s finding the perfect gift for friends and family. Don’t worry though, I’ve found the ideal solution, the new Lush Christmas Gift Concept floor. Whether you like to shop until you drop or tend to leave things until Christmas Eve, don’t do it people!, the Lush Christmas shop is the ultimate gifting experience (no ugly, unwanted jumpers or talc here).

Open in only three cities across the UK, London, Birmingham and my lovely hometown of Liverpool, Christmas at lush promises to be fun and exciting for customers in what can be one of the most stressful times of the year.

From the second you step onto the floor, you’ll think you have been transported to Mr and Mrs Claus bathroom in the North Pole, it’s jaw-droppingly magical. Those of you who are die-hard Lush fans can breath a sigh of relief as all the Christmas classics are there and more.

Snow Fairy is back with the wave of a magic wand with the classic bubble bar, bath bombs, body spray, naked shower gel and so many other deliciously sweet beauty treats, you may begin to wonder if you’ll grow wings.

Speaking of limited edition, Lush have created many amazing festive bath bomb delights. Relax in a swirl of turquoise and lilac with the added fun of popping candy from Santa’s Grotto. Party away with The World’s Smallest Disco, pops of colour amongst a glittery midnight black backdrop. Recharge and unwind with the classic christmas scents of clove and orange with Chris the Camel. There are so many bath bombs to choose from, you’ll need more than two hands which is why this year Lush have created new Bath Bomb Holders. Made from 100% recycled card in colourful fun designs, customers can fill with their own selection of bath bombs. What’s even better is once you’ve used all the bath bombs, which will happen very quickly, the holders can be turned into playful masks for children or us adults aka big kids.

I’m obsessed with the bath oil tablets that you can hang from the tap after they’ve lovingly decorated your tree. Turn on the water and let them fill your bath with festive fragrances and skin nourishing ingredients. How about an Amazeball? Simply pop off the stopper on these supersize bath bombs and sprinkle the magic from within. Let the bubbles build and either lie back and enjoy or pop the rest in for the ultimate bath.

You can’t visit the Lush Christmas floor without grabbing a bottle of their limited edition shower gel, Happy, no Yog Nog, no Happy. Heck you need them both.

Happy shower gel is a juicy blend of lemon with neroli oil and sweet wild orange oil. It’s a vibrant scent that helps battle those winter blues and dark difficult mornings to help lift your spirits and leave you feeling a lot more… well happy! Yog Nog is indulgence without the calories. For me this shower gel is Christmas in a bottle. Sweet caramel and custard notes, it’s so luxurious and comforting, I’m already considering another bottle.

Lush introduce the Lush Lens App and Scan a Product at their Christmas Concept Floor.

One of the best things about shopping at Lush this festive period is that it’s so easy. You can peruse to your hearts content or take a seat, grab a coffee and the helpful staff at Lush will bring your christmas gift list to you! Even if you’re unsure what products to get or want to check they have the right wow factor for your loved ones, Lush have the answer. Place any one of the beautifully wrapped gift boxes under the scanner and the screen above will show you exactly what is inside and how each one looks when used. Even better, why not download the Lush Lens app and scan every bubble bar and bath bomb to your hearts desire to find out more details.

As well as these new fancy features replacing excess packaging, when you’ve finally narrowed down your wish list from 101 to 100 products, choose from one of the many festive knot wraps as a further alternative to reusable bags. Made from either cotton or recycled bottles, all the designs are gorgeous and customers can now swap their pre-loved knot wraps and get 50% off a new design of the same size!

So what are you waiting for? It’s time to do Christmas the Lush way. B x
